Overview
Focus Minerals handed us a beauty of a project to reverse-engineer their leach feed pump pipe spools and sort out the rubber lining. First up, we used the trusty laser scanner to capture all the site data in an e57 format. That data was then imported into Reverse Engineering Software, where we cleaned it up and got it all aligned. After that, we extracted the key dimensions using Sketch with Mesh.
The Process
With the scanned data, we locked in the axis of the pipeline and key positions. The pipeline and flanges were designed to fit Australian standards, and on top of that, the pipe spool needed a rubber lining. Once we had the design down, we supplied all the pipe sizes, the Bill of Materials (BOM), and the rubber lining dimensions.
Outcome
A crackin’ design for the pipe spools, with rubber lining ready to roll. All the required sizes, BOM, and detailed rubber lining dimensions were delivered, keeping the job smooth for manufacturing and installation. A job well done, and Focus Minerals is set to keep pumping without a hitch!
