Davyhurst Handrails & Sliding Gate

An expansive space that will straddle LA’s famed Wilshire Boulevard, the project will feature 110,000 square feet of gallery space in one single level to display and present art in a non-hierarchical, egalitarian way. As part of the new building, Clark will construct a new theater, education spaces, three restaurants, a museum shop, multi-purpose event spaces, and ancillary and back-of-house facilities.

The California Building for the Permanent Collection is slated to open to the public in 2024.

Davyhurst Handrails & Sliding Gate

At MINING MART, we got stuck into the Davyhurst Handrails & Sliding Gate project, delivering a top-notch fabrication job from start to finish.

What We Did

  • Site Scanning & Data Processing: First up, we hit the site to grab precise scan data of the area. That data was then processed and aligned using specialised software to ensure everything was spot on.
  • Extracting Critical Dimensions: Once the data was locked in, we pulled the key dimensions and positional details to ensure the designs would fit like a glove.
  • Designing the Sliding Gate & Handrails: Using the extracted measurements, we whipped up 3D models of both the handrails and the sliding gate, making sure they matched site requirements to a tee.
  • Fabrication Drawings & Manufacturing: With the designs sorted, we put together detailed fabrication drawings for manufacturing and installation. These included all the necessary specs to make sure the job ran smooth as silk.

By following a structured and precise approach, we delivered high-quality, sturdy, and functional handrails and a sliding gate—built tough to last, just how the client wanted.
