An expansive space that will straddle LA’s famed Wilshire Boulevard, the project will feature 110,000 square feet of gallery space in one single level to display and present art in a non-hierarchical, egalitarian way. As part of the new building, Clark will construct a new theater, education spaces, three restaurants, a museum shop, multi-purpose event spaces, and ancillary and back-of-house facilities.
The California Building for the Permanent Collection is slated to open to the public in 2024.

Design & Fabrication Drawings of 4 Bracings
While MINING MART was out on-site scanning for a different project, we clocked that a few braces were looking worse for wear. We flagged it with the client, and they gave us the green light to sort out some as-built drawings for replacements.
How We Got It Sorted
- Laser Scanning & Data Processing: We kicked things off by laser scanning the dodgy bracings and the surrounding area to get accurate point cloud data.
- 3D Modelling & Client Approval: Using the point cloud, we developed a 3D model to match the existing structures. Once done, we ran it past the client for approval.
- Fabrication Drawings Delivered: With the thumbs-up from the client, we cracked on with the fabrication drawings for the new braces, ensuring they were built tough and ready for install.
Another top-quality fix delivered on time, keeping the site safe and sturdy!
